I am not going to lie, I love receiving gifts on February 14th. And as much as I say, Valentine’s Day is little more than a commercial declaration of love orchestrated by big box stores, I do love waking up and seeing what my hubby picked out for me.

One year I got a sailor’s knife. That was our first year of dating. To him the gift said “I love you so much, I want to share sailing with you.” To me? Well it shouted “time to buck up and do more work on the boat”. Fail. Then there was the not-so-sexy-more-trampy lingerie he got me. No need to relive that year.
